2023 AAHS Prom Night KING & QUEEN

In an effort to support and encourage the youth in our community, the African-American Heritage Society will be hosting our 9th Annual Prom Night, a fundraiser for our annual educational scholarship, which is awarded each year to two or more High School Seniors attending college. This award, the Tom E. Murdic Educational Scholarship, is named in honor of the late Tom E. Murdic, former AAHS President, community leader and Franklin native.  Prom night 2023, is an opportunity to support our youth in the area of education, which we deem very important.  This exciting event will be held at the Franklin Embassy Suites on Friday, July 14, 2023, beginning at 6:00 p.m.

AAHS are inviting couples to participate and vie for the honor of being King and Queen for that night and to award the Tom Murdic Educational Scholarship to this year’s six deserving seniors. The couple who generates the most funds for the scholarship will receive the honor.  As a respected married couple in our community, we would be honored for you to participate in this event.  We eagerly anticipant your involvement with this endeavor, your participation and fund raising efforts will secure the success of the 2023 AAHS Prom. The AAHS sincerely thanks you in advance for your support to this worthy cause.

We are excited to announce that for the 2023 Prom, we have added the titles of “AAHS Junior Queen and King.”  These titles will be reserved for youth ages 5 to 10 years old. This title will be bestowed to one female and male that generates the most funds. We would love to have your child, relatives, or friends be a part of this inaugural feature of the AAHS Prom.

We are a 501(c) 3 organization so any donation that you receive will be tax deductible. Checks should be made payable to the African American Heritage Society (P.O. Box 1053, Franklin TN, 37065).  The cost to attend the dinner event will be $60.00, as a participant your cost will be covered by AAHS. Additional information will be forthcoming once we receive your confirmation of participating.

We appreciate your continued support and thank you for your support to the African American Heritage Society and our community. In order to confirm our couples and junior participants, please confirm your participation by May 19, 2023, using the contact information below, which also can be utilized if you have additional questions.
